LAMP ACCESSORY
A spun steel lamp base is used when a gooseneck lamp, task light or inspection light needs a stable bottom part that can match the arm, shade and mounting style. It is not the same buying decision as the flexible tube itself; the important questions are weight, shape, finish, balance and how the lamp will be assembled.
For OEM lighting projects, the base should be reviewed together with the gooseneck arm, shade, switch, cable route and packaging plan. A base that looks acceptable in a photo may still need adjustment if the finished lamp is top-heavy or if the surface finish does not match the rest of the product.

| Decision area | What to confirm | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Stability | Base diameter, weight expectation and final lamp height. | The base must hold the gooseneck arm without tipping during normal adjustment. |
| Assembly fit | Center hole, screw position, tube connection and cable route. | Small changes in fitting position can affect production speed and lamp alignment. |
| Surface finish | Paint, plating, powder coating, color and touch feel. | The base should match the gooseneck tube, shade and customer brand appearance. |
| Packaging | Protective packing, scratch control and carton layout. | Metal bases can be damaged in transit if surface protection is not planned. |
When the base is part of a complete lamp project, send the whole product concept rather than only the base photo. Balance, cable routing and finish matching are easier to solve before the first sample is made.
These pages help compare the tube structure, application fit and quotation details before a sample is made.
