DEVICE HOLDER APPLICATION
Smartphone and iPad gooseneck assemblies are used when a phone, tablet or small display needs flexible positioning on a desk, vehicle, kiosk, retail counter or workstation. The important checks are device weight, clamp strength, arm length, vibration and how often the user changes the angle.
For custom projects, the flexible tube should be reviewed together with the holder, base, clamp and connector. This avoids a common problem: the tube bends correctly but the full device holder feels unstable.

| Check area | What to confirm | Buyer note |
|---|---|---|
| Device weight | Phone, tablet or display size and expected load. | Tablet holders usually need stronger support than phone holders. |
| Mounting style | Clamp, suction, screw base, vehicle mount or custom fixture. | The mounting end often decides whether the arm is practical. |
| Adjustment | Arm length, bend force and frequency of repositioning. | Repeated adjustment needs a different feel than fixed display use. |
| Finish and packing | Color, coating, surface feel and retail or bulk packing needs. | Visible holder products should be checked with the final shell or bracket. |
Send photos of the phone or tablet holder interface. The gooseneck tube and the device clamp must be balanced together, especially for heavier tablets.
Device-holder arms need more holding strength than small lighting arms because phones and tablets create leverage. Buyers should test the real device weight, holder position and clamp strength together.
Sometimes, but tablet use normally needs a stronger arm, wider holder and more stable base or clamp than a phone-only design.
